As a novice stockmarket investor, I've found the shares sections useful. Very basic questions are answered in a non-patronising manner, and people are willing to help you out.
There are sections on carpetbagging building societies and life companies. Members not only provide tips on joining the societies, but they keep you updated on new better paying account. It's great to know you can get into the socities, make sure you are getting the best interest rate and maybe get a windfall too.
There is a resident IFA who offers answers to more complex financial questions. He seems very knowledgeable and I have learned things by reading his reply's to other people.
The deals and offers section will probably appeal to readers here. Plenty of money saving offers and companies offering free samples.
The website feedback area is good and the webmaster does listen and make changes where necessary - unlike other sites I have been to. A number of new features have recently been added and I do like the private messaging to other members.
Finally there is a misc section where almost anything goes. The section is full of funny stories and jokes and is a nice way of stopping the site becoming too serious.
The members have a great camaraderie between them and are very friendly towards new members. I've learned a lot about finance from this site and made some good friends too.
Well worth visiting.
