I have known about theslammer.com for some time now. I was drawn to their website by an advertisement stating that they give away free computer games. I thought I would check it out and find out what the catches were.

That guy wants his £70 affiliate money. Yeah right he's really gonna get it! I suggest you look on the net regarding the scam this company pulled with PS2's and various other things. They used to offer top games for £1 but it was a 50:50 chance that you'd get them. I ordered about 3 of these games off them, 1 of them actually turned up (the other 2 didn't, but they didn't take the money either). But the biggest trick they pulled was with the £300 ... ...PS2's in and could sell them for £150 instead of £300, but Sony wouldn't allow them to sell them that low so they asked for £300 and then would give you a rebate of £150. This was similar to the £1 game scam but on a much grander scale! Obviously everyone went nuts for this a PS2 for half price when it had just been launched. They took everyones money and about 50% of the people got their PS2, the rest didn't. If you paid on a credit card you got ...

I joined the slammer affiliate program about six months ago.The way it was supposed to work was,you advertise their site on your website,and they pay 10% for any sales.Sounded good to me.
When you make a sale,they email you to let you know.They give you a link to click on which takes you directly to your stats page.So far so good.In the months I was with them I sold £700 worth of hardware & software.A nice little earner for me of £70.Or so I thought.
... ...tried again and again but still the same. I then decided to ring their sales number.Constantly engaged. Here we go again thought I. Another rip off company.
The next thing,their website disappears.Nice one slammer.No warning any thing was wrong.One minute they were there,then nothing.I kept trying their website address www.theslammer.com,until last week,hey presto they were back.

No refund received. theSlammer.com applied to the courst for liquidation, but the application was apprently withdrawn at the last minute. Business bought up by someone else. Southwark Trading Standards involved. I have recently heard from the Office of Fait Trading, asking my permission to use my complaint in any proceedings against the company, including court proceedings.

I bought a few games from this 'free section' over several weeks as you are only allowed to purchase one per week. Within about ... ...was offically a reseller for theslammer.com and in return I would receive between 10-20% of all the orders I placed. I started to work on my friends to build up a little business for theslammer.com and make myself some money. Prior to Xmas I managed to drum up a lot of business (approximately £600) so this would have resulted in a healthy commission cheque. Theslammer.com has to be the worst online store I have ever been to, let alone the worst online gaming store. I have many a story to tell you about this supposedly 'excellent' gaming store. I first found this shop on the Internet when I was looking for places to pre-order a PlayStation 2. I found theslammer.com. They said I would get £30 off my PS2, AND that I would get it before Christmas. I got an e-mail from them later telling me about my order ... ...GONE FROM MY ACCOUNT!! Theslammer.com said when I ordered that they wouldn't take the cash until I'd got it. They'd actually taken the money a few days after I'd ordered it!! I was livid. I called theslammer, no response. I e-mailed them, threatening to call the police on them, no response. Theslammer have STOLEN £300 from me, and I'm VERY annoyed about it.
