Advantages: None Disadvantages: They forget who pays their wages?
I placed an order for plants in Nov 08 and received my confirmation and first delivery on time. Since then I have sent numerous e-mails trying to find out when the remaining plants will arrive. Every time an automated reply is received but no further communication from them.
I also have called their customer help line several times (0844, that’s how they treat their customers by charging them higher call charges) but constantly kept on the line ... ...to make contact with a 'real person'.
I called the 0844 number this Saturday and gave up after 10 minutes so I dialled the normal office number to be advised the office was closed on Saturdays. They obviously have no idea how to treat their customers of which I will not be one in the future nor recommend them. There are many other companies out there who can offer a proper service. ...

I placed an order with Thompson and Morgan 4 months ago which they got wrong and I have now written three complaint letters trying to get the issue resolved and no-one has bothered to get back to me.
Their website states they will reply to all correspondence within 10 working days and yet I have been waiting for 3 months!!! I can't get over how completely unprofessional they have been. It is a miracle that they are still in business with that sort ...

This is what I've just written to Thompson-Morgan Customer Care.
Order Number: T06628910
Delivery of Busy Lizzie plants. Please note that I called the Customer Care team last Saturday 4th May as I had recieved these plants and upon opening the box had found that they had desintegrated and were dying. The gentleman I spoke with confirmed that a refund would be made to the effect of £10.99 and this transaction would go through in the next few days ... ...post. It has now been a week and no refund is forthcoming even though I have now made the purchase of plants elsewhere due to timescales and the disappontment with the package delivered.
This is the only email address found on the Thompson - Morgan website and although I can call the customer care phone line I'm just not happy to pay for a call that has already been made and also the facts are better recorded in an email as there is no other way ...

I ordered some bulbs from Thompson & Morgan in late January for delivery "during February". My credit card was debited at the time of the order. It is now the end of March and they have still not arrived. There is no message about it on their web site and I have phoned several times and either been told they are late arriving or we have had to order another batch and they will be with you shortly. Very disappointing. Unlikely to use them again.. ...

I too have been disgusted with the quality of the perennial plants I have received from Thompson and Morgan. Like other customers the plants have been virtually dead on arrival. Firstly I was made to believe it was my fault because when filling in the online order form I just put my house number and Postcode, but the order was still accecpted so the plants took longer to arrive. I rang customer service and was told they would send replacements when ... ...the first lot and these had not been held up in the post! I then e-mailed customer service again got reply they would send more plants plus compensation, the plants arrived in the same condition as the others and the compensdation was a £5 voucher for Thompson and Morgan. This time I decided to write to the Managing Director and I included photos of the plants which I had also e-mailed to customer services, and returned the voucher as i certainly ...
