♦Conclusion♦
To conclude, I would definitely rate this product to anyone with a sweet tooth. I found the bags of Special Toffee, I felt the bags and the toffee felt as if in big solid lumps, all stuck together, not in separate pieces. I selected one of the packets and took it to the counter and handed it to the assistant for payment.
The shop assistant then proceeded to slap the bag of Toffee on the back counter really hard. I was quite bemused by this, not sure if I actually 'wanted' ...

Advantages: Probably the best toffee on the highstreet. Disadvantages: It's very bad for you... but it's still lush!
Thornton's Special toffee is by far one of the finest toffees on the market. It contains no stabilisers or emulsifiers, no E numbers or odd sounding chemicals, just a good, wholesome mix of various sugars, vegetable oils and butter. The result of this is a gloriously home-made feeling product. When you open the packet, you find big, irregular lumps of toffee all stuck together in a large blob. Rich, buttery, sweet and dangerously moreish, it feels quite hard and sticky at first but, as your mouth warms it up, the ingredients start to ...

An Introduction to Thorntons:
Thorntons is a perfect example of a small business that has expanded and "made it in the big time." The first of the Thorntons shops was set up on a humble side street in Sheffield by a man named Joseph Thornton who at the time (1911) could not possibly have imagined the legacy that his small confectionary store would create for him. The business has remained in the Thornton family and it is only recently that the first ... ...I have referred to Thorntons in an international sense but in actual fact, despite their huge success in the British market (becoming the U.K's leading manufacturer and retailer of chocolate) their forages into the European and U.S. markets have thus far proved to be relatively unsuccessful with nowhere near the turnover seen in the U.K. for their stores in the U.S, France and Belgium to name a few (perhaps they shouldn't take on the Belgians at ...
