Ticketweb, Ticketmaster's ticket administration arm, allows venues and promoters to provide their clients with a full ticketing service which might otherwise not be available. The site only sells tickets for venues, organisations etc with which it is affiliated and as such, it often carries a smaller selection of tickets than other major competitors. This is not necessarily a bad thing however, as many major events and a huge number of smaller events are still catered for.

Orders can be placed via the easy to use website, or through the company's 24 hour call centre. Personally, I have never had a single problem using either method and the transaction has always been quick and simple. Once ordered, you can easily track your order in real time via the website, and never once have my tickets taken more than a few days to arrive.

Where Ticketweb really comes into its own is in the facilities it provides to order tickets to more than one event with each order, something not all agencies will allow. This can help to save a small fortune in postage charges, which as we all know, are usually over the odds when it comes to ticket agencies! This is another advantage of Ticketweb, postage is universally £1.50 (as at 2/10/05), which is great value considering many agencies now only send by special delivery at a charge of well over £4 (interesting, a special delivery and envelope never cost me that much when I'm at the Post Office!) On the down side, secure delivery is not normally an option unless the promoter requires it, so if you prefer your tickets to be delivered this way, it may not be possible.

Ticketweb is also onto a winner with its booking fees, often these are pretty much the same accross the board, but I've often found Ticketweb to be charging slightly less than some other agencies, including sister company Ticketmaster.

The only real negative point of this site is the slight lack of information on events and the fact that the search feature is not on the homepage (a link must be clicked to access this).

Overall, Ticketweb is a company I have used time and time again, and will happily use many more times in the future!
