Waste of money
Review of Turtle Mats by
Pip2002
Advantages: Looks nice.
Disadvantages: Doesn't work any better than any other door mat, but is considerably dearer
I bought a Turtle mat, having seen the adverts showing a dog with dirty paws walking over the mat, and having clean paws once it had done so.
I have two terriers who are always walking into the house with wet paws, from the lawn outside. They don't ge ...

Make sure you get the extended warranty!
Review of Bissell Carpet Cleaner by
Eunice61
Advantages: Terrific at first - carpet cleaning second to none
Disadvantages: Build quality is rubbish - they do not last!
I have used Bissell carpet cleaners for about 7 years now. With two kids & three dogs, a good carpet cleaner is essential. I'm on my fourth Bissell now - that will tell you about the build quality. I cannot dispute the good job that they do at the star ...

Not a huge sacrifice for a few more trees
Review of Sainsbury Revive Recycled Toilet Tissue by
minimunchkin
Advantages: Surprisingly soft and not expensive
Disadvantages: Can irritate very sensitive skin
In a moment of environmental guilt having just driven 15 minutes to Sainsbury's for a brief shop rather than taking a short stroll to Londis, I decided to pick up their Revive Recycled Toilet Tissue instead of reaching for the Andrex. When it came around ...

Quick review of E-cloth
Review of E-cloth by
whisky1545
I bought my Ecloths in John Lewis several months ago after reading a good write up on them in The Times magazine. Although they were not cheap they do mean that you don't need tospend money on other cleaning products when using them. You just need water.
They are excellent on stainless steel appliances such as cookers, microwaves, extractors etc as they remove marks that are really difficult to get off with normal cleaning products. They leave no smears or marks at all, although you may need to use them for a few times to remove all traces of previous cleaning substances.
Would thoroughly recommend them.

Go Duster be gone
Review of Go Duster by
Maxlarndison
Advantages: Getting rid of cob webs
Disadvantages: Sprays dust everywhere
I brought the Go Duster some time ago off a T.V program, it sounded really good, and if it saves time dusting then I'm up for giving it ago.
CLAIMS - Faster, easier, more fun, picks up and traps dust.
Ok so what is it.
The Go Duster is a motorize ...

Quick review of Izal Toilet Paper
Review of Izal Toilet Paper by
Baxtonmoor
Having read the other half dozen reviews I note that they all omit one further use of the Izal toilet paper that I remember from you youth. That is that Izal (like cut up pages of Worksop Guardian) serves as a reading aid. Each sheet bore the green cross in a diamond just above the perforations along with the words "Medicated with Izal Germicide".
Perhaps it isn't as interesting as reading Worksop Guardian, but at lease the ink never came off the Izal and so your arse only went from brown to red!

Quick review of Sainsbury Revive Recycled Toilet Tissue
Review of Sainsbury Revive Recycled Toilet Tissue by
keithw19
Trying this product again recently - June 2008 - we were surprised to find it was nowhere near as strong as it used to be. With a new level of softness had come a lack of strength, to the extent that, to use the indelicate phrase, 'one's fingers went through'.
We were disappointed in this product, which used to be a decent toilet roll, although always a little expensive for a recycled product.
We hope that Sainsbury's will return to their original formula for this product, and will give it a try again in a year or so.
In the meantime, we shall avoid it.

Quick review of Andrex Toilet Tissues
Review of Andrex Toilet Tissues by
heather49
Having used andrex even as far as i can remember, now have always used it, for my family, the last 6mths it has totally, lost its quality. and i am totally disapointed. it breaks up easily, and the rolls have not been even on the surrated edges, i used to think it was value for money, as i don't believe in false economy, i am now looking for another brand to try , after years of being happy with andrex, i feel the quality, has been lost but the price is still the same.

Izal: Old Fashioned Values
Review of Izal Toilet Paper by
Amdididdy
Advantages: Evocative of a bygone age. Medicated. Clean smell.
Disadvantages: Comfort level.
I think that it's the medicated smell that sold me this paper: like clean hospitals and old-fashioned lavatories. The nostalgic rustle of each sheet evoked memories but actual usage is a different story. I guess we've all been spoiled by Charmin and Andre ...

Quick review of Quilted Velvet Toilet Tissue
Review of Quilted Velvet Toilet Tissue by
mcw1945
While no opposer of innovation and improvement, I'm afraid the "new pattern" is terrible! As a user of the old pattern I had no problems, but the new one is so fragile that, rather than tear neatly across the perforations, it tends to simply pull apart rendering it useless. I could not believe it was by the same maker and, if I have the time and can be bothered, I shall contact the company's customer service dept to tell them in person. I cannot believe it was properly tested before launch.
I have no objection to a change in surface pattern but PLEASE not at the expense of strength. It no longer does the job for me!
