I think this breed probably does get an unfair press. Whenever you hear of dangerous dogs in the media, they almost almost fail to mention that it is the owner who is dangerous and it is not the animal's fault. by Collingwood21

My one year old cat, Daisy, has short hair and seems to shed a lot of hair daily. Using the Furminator once a week seems to help. The fluffy fur comes out easily and looks a bit like loose cotton wool. She doesn't mind being brushed but I do have to be extra gentle otherwise the brush can make her skin go a bit pink. It is quite sharp. I have noticed that her fur looks so much nicer afterwards.

I live in South Africa and a friend brought a packet of Thomas Treats over - what a winner!! Our cats, friends cats go absolutely mad for them!! Whenever someone goes over to UK they buy us packets. Unfortunately they are really battling to find them in the supermarkets. Does anyone know what supermarkets stock them?

You must worm your cat regularly. Although I don't own a cat, I have four dogs, they still need the treatment. I recommend Drontal worming tablets (just put them in a little bit of fish and Mew will take them straightaway). I buy mine from www.hyperdrug.com - so much cheaper than vets and other shops and they deliver next day normally. Also, you should use something like Frontline for fleas (which I also buy much cheaper at hyperdrug. Good luck. by Wearsidelass

We have had 4 in 2 years, and loads of collars with new infra red keys, these are VERY unreliable, having to be re-set every few weeks, and break easy, and other cats with NO collars get in still somehow, avoid.
