It was the biggest hunk of junk i have ever owned. It broke down several times and was nothing but a constant headache ,leaks water and fails to drain properly every now and then which turned out to be the pump (not a cheap repair)

Most of these are condenser dryers so you can't dry a whole wash load. The capacity for drying the clothes is a lot less than the wash capacity and if you try and dry a full wash load the thermostat will overheat hence hot but not dry clothes! x by HotBabes

We received this steam iron as part of a word of mouth advertising network meaning we only paid £20 for it rather than the advertised £75. In light of the amount we paid for it this Iron is very good value for money. The iron itself is excellent for enabling you to produce a crease free finish to your clothes. It has a major downside in that it is very noisy then pressurising the steam.

I would not recommend this machine to anyone. I have had mine for a year and a half and it has now broken down on me twice. The first time I had to pay £50 to get someone to call out and fix it. He said it was the reset button at the back. However 2 weeks later it broke again. I believe its the digital display at the front and this apparently costs a fortune to replace. I have therefore decided to give up on this brand altogether and am now looking for a new machine. In fairness when it worked it was very good and very easy to empty the water, but it was really really noisy. I just feel let down by hotpoint at the moment. I have to say I have been put off by Hotpoint altoghether.
