This is a shame, as their products used to be good. We had a Hotpoint fridge from 1991-2005 and it was very good - we only replaced it in the end because it was leaking everywhere and the plastic shell was starting to deteriorate and crack, but we wish we'd had it repaired instead because our replacement fridge (Zanussi/Electrolux) has been just awful - we'll never buy that brand again either! by thereddragon

lovely product apart from the the annoying bleeping that goes off when the door has been open more than a minute. When you're putting the shopping away can get on your nerves and you end up talking to the fridge. other than that no problems.

I BOUGHT THIS MODEL FREEZER ON 16/12/2006. ON THE 27/07/07 IT BROKE DOWN AND I LOST ALLTHE FOOD INSIDE. I HAD TO WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR THE REPAIR. ON THE 22/10/2008 IT BROKE DOWN AGAIN AND ALL THE CONTENTS WERE LOST THROUGH DEFROSTING. AT THE TIME OF WRITING THIS REPORT 30/10/2008 I AM STILL WAITING FOR IT TO BE REPAIRED. NOT THE SERVICE I EXPECTED FROM MIELE. VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE FROM THE FREEZER. ALSO VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE AFTER SALES SERVIC FROM MIELE.

Advantages: Reasonable amount of space, Water dispenser, ice cubes and fast freeze facilities.
Disadvantages: None for me but may not be big enough for a family.

This dishwasher would have been a five star but for the strange layout of the baskets. The up-top cutlery tray is a great idea but I find that the space for mugs and cups on the upper basket is very difficult to use and there always seems to be items I can't fit but space still in the basket. Don't get me wrong, this is still an excellent dishwasher just I think maybe more attention could have been paid to the basket design.

Advantages: Legendary quality, Economical, near silent, Low lifetime cost
Disadvantages: Cutlery tray has little room for utensils, top basket allows utensils to jam arms sometimes
