I purhased one and it started to leave the floors very wet and after 10 months the flimsy foot fedal disintegrated, to be fair lakelands who suiplied it were very good and replaced it immediatelly, however this new one has lasted only 9 months now it doesnt steam, I contacyed homrtek and there response was we sell thousands and that I was just unlucky well you can say that again, in my opinion this is of poor constuction leaves the floors to wet and I would certainly not recomend it

very very poor ....more of a gimmick rather than a carpet washer/scubber.....LIFTS OUT STAINS says the box ,id like to know what stains it is actually capable of lifting out , its pathetic. And customer services where really bad to when i told them that it had not removed any stains what so ever and just succeded in leaving the carpet wet i was told it was only good for picking up spills there and then. .......better make sure your guests dont spill anything during any dinner party then, because it will be no good trying to suck it up a couple of hours later. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT I WANT MY MONEY BACK! ALSO ITS VERY VERY LOUD.....VAX IM NOT PLEASED.

This is the worst hoover I have ever bought. A total waste of money. Doesn't suck and needs filters cleaning after every use - these then take days to dry so it's out of action until they do! Cuts out due to overheating after only a few mins so takes all day to do the house! Have now had much pleaure in throwing it away and buying a lovely Meile which is amazing! DO NOT BUY IT!

I've had this machine for a year and a half and its just no where near as good as I expected from a Hoover product, home of vacuume cleaners. I feel like I'm working harder than the motor pushing it around and hoping it picks up the dust etc. The suction is lousy and I'm forever emptying it and cleaning all the parts hoping it clears what at first seemed like something blocking the suction, but no...its just v.weak. I've taken it back to Datamart from where I purchased it and they no longer carry the machine. So that tells me something !

Advantages: Nice design, lightweight, easy to manouvre
Disadvantages: Engine fizzed out on switch on!

I guess I need to put more info into my review of the oreck upright. Dog owners, I have German Shepherd dogs. The Oreck is great getting rid of dog hair. I use it daily. It goes from carpeting to wood floors and on tile without a hitch. The bag is simple to install, and there is a little place underneath the machine to keep a spare belt. I have not needed to replace it, however. It doesn't snag or stop suctioning unless it catches something huge--like a sweater on the floor. It is so light I can do stairs with it--if only I had a back. I am disabled and this is the right machine for people with back issues. by lindenhill

This cleaner is a complete waste of time. Anything bigger than a gnats tongue has to be sucked up by removing the brushead and picking up directly with the tube. Why it has the variable suction slider on the hose I don't know, why would you want to reduce a trickle to zero? There seems to be plenty of suction at the direct input to the motor (the rectangular filtered section seen when the filter housing is lifted) I beleive there are too many joints between that and the hose, losing power at each one. If you want a similar performance for much less money, buy a few drinking straws and suck through this yourself you will get more dirt up!
