Quick review of King and Queen Public House, Brighton
Review of King and Queen Public House, Brighton by
fanning
staying in brighton would not be the same without king and queen it should be visited on fri or sat night or tue when karaoke is on, allways a great mix of students from all over the world old characters and lots of real brighton locals, the landlord is allways happy and his wife loves a good old knees up mother brown. the staff are friendly and the door staff second to none. not sure about live music on fridays.still best beer garden in brighton.

A bit tired and manky
Review of Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton by
PezButs
Advantages: A place you can book for 1 night
Disadvantages: Expensive for what you get
Stayed at the Metropole this weekend. Booked 3 rooms, a Deluxe plus room for my mother (it was her birthday treat) at £210 and 2 rooms for our family at £145 each on mezzanine room. My mothers room was nice, large, seaview although the weather was hideous ...

Fabulous Dining Experience!
Review of Donatello, Brighton by
anonymili
Advantages: great service, great food, great ambience

Donatello - a restaurant I would never have really thought about going to had I not been on a hen weekend organised by a company who booked us "hens" into Donatello for what they described as a 2 course meal included as part of our package.
Of the sev ...

Quick review of New Madeira Hotel, Brighton
Review of New Madeira Hotel, Brighton by
fitsw6
The hotel was OK as were the staff. The facilities were not great but they did have a big TV in the bar area - great for Britains Got Talent. Also a 24 hour bar... apparently. The night manager was very aggressive when I asked for a drink, even after I explained that this is a 24 hour bar and that I have Aspergers Syndrome which may be confusing him, perhaps in the way I was asking. I was not drunk! After making a formal written complaint to the owner, it still took 2 months and many reminders before I gave up with thier very lame reply. I am completely unsatisfied with thier obvious discrimination and lack of professional care. Of all the other hotels in Brighton, this is one to definitely avoid.

Review of Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton by

I'm probably being a bit naughty comparing this hotel with the De Vere Grand ( the hotel next door), but after spending a fabulous night costing £165 for evening meal ,bed, and breakfast, which included a room with a sea view, a proper menu to chose from ...

Ainsley House Hotel
Review of Ainsley House Hotel, Brighton by
SReilly
Advantages: Location & friendly/helpful chef.
Disadvantages: That some people are allowed to be let loose on the hotel industry.
I stayed here recently and was made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable. I was very polite to the manager at all times but I was spoken to like a child, she was very patronising. I've never known anything like it, it was actually almost funny. We were ...

Do not stay at this guesthouse !!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelieveably rude staff , the rooms were dirty - sheets and towels were stained , carpets hadnt seen a hoover for a good few months and hotel was very shabby with paintwork peeling etc.
I almost had to laugh at how rude the manageress was as it just didnt seem real that someone who is expected to deal with the general public has absolutely zero customer relation skills ...if anyone has ever seen Faulty Towers this is what you should expect if you stay at this b&b!

Advantages: Too many...London by the sea...cosmopolitan, diverse, shopping! Food!
Disadvantages: Can be dirty - very busy in summer with exchange students under your feet.
Having lived in Brighton for several years I can honestly say I would rather walk around the lanes on a day off work than anywhere else in the world - its just fabulous :D The small winding allys are a real curiosity shop extravaganza - jewellery shops, g ...
