We had a fabulous private party on the "Princess Katherine" based at Salford Quays Lowry Theatre. We sailed from here up to The Lowry Hotel in Manchester then back again to go through the lock and onto the Ship Canal as far as the M60.

Advantages: Godd value

I would never stay in this establishment again, It was dirty and so out of date, for what it cost us we could have stayed in one of the top hotels in Manchester. Well they do say "Once bitten twice shy" I had one of my worst weekends ever and was so looking forward to our time away.

Advantages: clean close to airport
Disadvantages: poor shower not the comfiest of beds & pillows
