oh dear, finding the place was the first problem 35min journey ended up as 2hrs...on arrival staff pleasent but had to carry suitcases to room,no coffee/tea faclilities in room.Went all inclusive and had a room frigdge with 2 bottles of water which they wanted to charge 1 euro.Take water from dining area (free). Free for all on all dining sessions (help yourself/sit where you like)) noinfo given as to obtaining prepaid credit card for non incl items (icecream, spa) other than one sign on reception desk spotted on day 3 no reference in room info pack.no aircon in gym Overall a pleasant holiday, staff excellent but management lacking presence. definitely hire a car as hotel is fairly remote.

Wonderful accommodation, great facilities
Review of La Pineta, Pula by annaf18

Advantages: SPA, wonderful accommodation, great facilities
Disadvantages: beach quite overcrowded in august

We got advice from our travel agent's (Design Holidays) and after reading a lot of reviews on the Net, we chose Forte Village for our two weeks in Sardinia. Wonderful accommodation, great facilities, and all in the middle of breathtaking scenery. The sea ... Read review

Welcome to Ciao. I think the review is supposed to be specifically about the hotel itself rather than the resort in general. Do let me know via a guestbook message if you update your review to include more info about the hotel itself, such as customer service levels, cleanliness, price, etc :) by anonymili

Nice holiday in Sardinia
Review of Domus&Tour Holidays, Sardinia by Traveller67

Advantages: serious, easy to use, no agency fees
Disadvantages: little bit expensive but the quality must be paid

I love self-made travels but to manage them i always need serious internet operators because i have to chose and book accomodations, cars and ferry tickets. I've found recently a good local specialist for Sardinia. I've apreciated its site: simply to use ... Read review

I've given it a slightly generous Helpful as you have given what you feel is a helpful Web Site to study for a trip to Sardinia, but more information on your experience there will improve your ratings. Regards Steve by poshtroika
Welcome to Ciao. I think there's some useful information here, but it could do with being better laid out and organised. Hope this helps. Duncan by torr

Punta Negra - great for a relaxing break
Review of Alghero, Sardinia (Italy) by bekiboo13

Advantages: Relaxing, nice pool area and beach, shuttle bus to Alghero.
Disadvantages: Hotel drinks quite expensive, pool water was very chlorinated.

I chose to go to Alghero, Sardinia after looking at Ryan Air's fly for a penny (+tax and charges which were low) site. I also wanted somewhere which will still have good weather in October. We were lucky because it was very hot for four of the five days ... Read review

Quick review of Hotel La Playa, Alghero
Review of Hotel La Playa, Alghero by Phoenix48

My sister and I shared a lovely holiday in Alghero at the La Playa hotel during October 2007. The weather was good, the hotel is lovely and clean, the staff friendly and the food wonderful. Salvatore and his sisters obviously take great pride in running the hotel and aim to give their guests an excellent service. The hotel is situated just a couple of minutes walk from beautiful beaches and about 20 minutes walk from the old walled town and extensive marina. The old town is very interesting with it's narrow cobbled streets and myriad of shops selling coral jewellery. I'd certainly recommend it and cannot wait to return!

The archeological town of Nora, South Sardinia

Advantages: archeological site, culture, sunny beach, shops, nice food

Quick review of Hotel Corallo, Isola Rossa
Review of Hotel Corallo, Isola Rossa by jcosso

Fabulously welcoming! Hotel Corallo far exceeded our expectations after endlessly searching online for a beachside Hotel we chose Isola Rossa for the Hotel itself, as the beach was not the drawcard. The Hotel has fabulously large balconies, great for families, a pretty pool and is only a short distance to the beach itself. The food was exceptional, the staff ever helpful and the wines exquisite. Thank you Patrick! July 2007

Hi. Strictly speaking, if you want to review just the hotel you should ask Ciao to list it as a separate product. As it is, I feel there's just enough about Alghero in general to justify a Helpful rating. Good place, Alghero, I would agree. Duncan by torr

DID NOT SEE NEPTUNE
Review of Neptune's Grotto (Grotta di Nettuno), Alghero, Sardinia by poshtroika

Advantages: Nature in one of its beautiful forms
Disadvantages: 300 STEPS if using the BUS.

Quick review of San Pietro (Bosa), Sardinia
Review of San Pietro (Bosa), Sardinia by abbamala

San Pietro is a Romanesque church in a lovely spot 1 km up the Temo river valley outside Bosa. The town of Bosa is beautiful, with a special atmosphere -- peaceful yet uplifting, ancient yet contemporary. The people are friendly, the food is good, and the surroundings are stunning. It is 40 km south of Alghero. I came across Bosa by chance on holiday a few years ago, and I have returned many times since. There are gorgeous beaches all along the nearby coastline. It is possible to stay in a hotel, bed and breakfast, self-catering apartment and there is even a youth hostel. It is great for couples, families, groups of friends and any people who are NOT seeking a wild party style drunken holiday.
