La Fenice (The Phoenix) is a delightful 'local' restaurant on the main Corsa Italia, obviously well frequented by locals as well as the few tourists like ourselves. Superb local fish, several dishes prepared/ flambeed at the table. Not cheap, but well priced for good food. The waiters/ waitresses were patient and helpful and had good language skills. Good puds too. Recommended.

Advantages: Friendly staff and atmosphere, Clean and well managed, lovely food
Disadvantages: could maybe have more evening entertainment at the bar

Advantages: Beautiful, sunny, hot, blue skies, very friendly people

"bold" Really really excellent restaurant, both for food and decor. We ate here every night and even at lunch during a four day stay in Sorrento and food was always first class. Christmas decor (2007-08 holiday season) was beautiful and outdoor patio looks great. In great location close to best hotels (we stayed at the wonderful Casale Antonietta, just up the road).

Advantages: Modern, lovely room, great public spaces
Disadvantages: Pool closes early, no atmosphere in restaurant
