Quick review of The Oliver St John Gogarty, Dublin
Review of The Oliver St John Gogarty, Dublin by Pellow24

Did the person who wrote the first review visit the same place as we did? During our stay in Dublin in Sept 2008 we chanced across this charming pub in Temple Bar full of character and Irish music. We had a wonderful meal with excellent service. We enjoyed the meal so much we went back again after a dismal meal at the Arlington Hotel. The waiters were friendly and informative and even recognised us on our second visit. Expensive but worth every penny! We would highly recomment the Porterhouse Steak (not for the fainthearted!) and the Chowder is a meal in itself. If I ever return to Dublin it will be my first port of call.

Hi, I do not want to make the impression that I somehow discourage people from calling into the George. That place is certainly worth visiting. It is after all the oldest gay club in Ireland, you can feel the smell of all the shagging that took place in there. It is a typical dump, a place that gay people love so much, they can feel without restraints forget all the crap talk about morality, get pissed and indulge in anonymous sex, The place is especialy recommended for those who like younger lads. There are loads of younger lads hanging out there and waiting for an opportunity. Besides, if you like rude and arrogant bouncers, well toned, guys with no brains you will certainly find them there. If you are into passive SM and you love been bullied and strangled and humiliated by some thug bouncer you will never find a better place!! So, I want to stress again it is certainly a lovely place. It is much better than any cruising ground or gay sauna! In the former you have to look for a shag and in here you are been bullied for free! The bouncer with squint in his eyes and looks of a recidivist will bully you for free. And he will get away with that! So again, I emphasize, I wholeheartedly recommend that place to all adventure seekeers. I have a year long experience pf frequenting that place. by przemonice

Quick review of Jurys Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin
Review of Jurys Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin by mabi

the hotel is now part of the d4 hotels group and still offers the same service as the old jurys hotel. Central to the city centre good bus access and DART access. the rooms are good and clean. It is a family friendly hotel with good disabled access as well. It also has the Dubliner pub as part of the hotel but not limited to hotel guests. Excellent food and service provided there too. Very good value for money, when i stayed there it was very cold but they provided us with extra heating in the room for no extra charge. You can stay here without breakfast and buy locally if you wish.

Quick review of St. George Hotel, Dublin
Review of St. George Hotel, Dublin by mabi

I have visited this hotel on a number of occasions and I have always received a polite, friendly service. The food is good the usual breakfast options. The hotel bar is small but a very friendly atmosphere. It is close to the centre that is o'connell street, ideal for buses to the airport and is close to the ambassador theatre. The rooms are clean and can be spacious. I would recommend people to stay at this hotel.
