I stayed here recently as part of a large wedding party. Due to a mix-up with the booking I arrived one day later (to stay only one night, rather than two). Because of this small mix-up the hotel insisted on charging the wedding hosts -prior to my arrival!! - a hefty penalty charge (even though the wedding party had brought them 30 rooms' worth of business). When, upon my arrival, I requested the penalty charge to the host to be cancelled and reimbursed, in order that I should pay instead, they refused in a very unfriendly manner. The room, when I found it, was very small for the price, without air-conditioning, above a noisy street. Stale bread and lukewarm coffee for breakfast. Avoid!

Even at lunch time, the Hofbrauhaus is good experience (wunderbar as they say in Germany). The beer was good, the food filling and hot and delicious. The oompah bad started at about noon and added to the experience. We are planning on going their again, this time for a Friday evening.
