Avoid Funchal airport - the checkin for a TAP flight to London Gatwick was horrendous - two checkin desks were staffed but one refused to take any passengers - as a result the queue extended out of the door - a wholly unnecessary wait for many families with young children.

Casa Talefe, Vale do Lobo, Algarve If you want to be robbed within hours of arriving at this villa, this is the place for you. Security looks good but if the robbers are so familiar with the place that they can cut the cables then its not much use. Be warned. This is not the first time.
