Quick review of Chokladkoppen
Review of Chokladkoppen by wallander

in the beautiful Stortoget you can relaxe yourself in this delicious bar restaurant. You can drink a very good chocolat or coffee and eat a cake. or you can eat tasty salads or sandwichs or toasts, but I prefer the soup of the day, dagens suppe, served with croutons. It's nice to seat here eating and looking this wonderful and lively place in the centre of Gamla Stan. The lunch costs about 80 - 100 Krs, a little much expensive the dinner.

Quick review of Slingerbulten
Review of Slingerbulten by wallander

Slingerbulten is a very nice restaurant in Gamla stan, the food is excellent, the service very friendly and the ambient very comfortable. The reindeer is wonderful, also the herrings. The menu offers the typical swedish food served with french touch. For a very good meal you'll spend about 300 krs.

Quick review of Scandic Sergel Plaza, Stockholm
Review of Scandic Sergel Plaza, Stockholm by sigtuna

it was good, but in other hotels i stayed throughout Europe, you got more amenities in those prices, per example sauna without extra fee, and less people in the breakfast room at the same time.

Quick review of Hotel Lilla Radmannen, Stockholm
Review of Hotel Lilla Radmannen, Stockholm by Mon62

Reasonably-priced, comfortable and clean. Located in a quiet district close to everything, this lovely hotel is the best choice for either a short or a longer stay in Stockholm. Even if not very large, the rooms are modern, airy and quiet with very comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Excellent buffet breakfast and really helpful, friendly staff.

All round excellent experience!
Review of Stockholm in general by abbichicken

Advantages: Wonderful, vibrant city with a lot to offer, summer or winter!
Disadvantages: Very few, possibly difficult to get the most out of for a first time visit?

So far, I've visited Stockholm twice, once in the snowy depths of February, and in the exquisite summer of July. The main thing to say is, I can't wait to go back! I'm fortunate enough to have a good friend who's lived all her life in the city, and b ... Read review

Great review, one more thing to note regarding the nightlife - the bouncers in some areas can be notoriously picky on who they let in - smart dress (i.e. shoes, shirt, trousers) is de rigeur around the central area of Stureplan, less so in Sodermalm. These rules seem to be somewhat relaxed if one is tall, blonde and blue eyed, and more "rules" can be made up ad hoc if one is not ("you're drunk, you're not a member") - surmise from that what you will, I'm not being drawn any further!!! by larsbaby

'Stockholm in a pint glass'
Review of Stockholm in general by Bakerboykev

Advantages: 'Pre-parties', 'Norrlands Guld' and superb transport links.
Disadvantages: High alcohol prices, weak beer and strict bouncers.

Overview… I was recently invited to visit a friend in Stockholm, who claimed to be 'researching' land-use in the city as part of his final year dissertation. As you can imagine, this turned out to be more of a cultural drinking experience, rather than ... Read review

The Red Boat in Stockholm
Review of Den Roda Baten (Red Boat), Stockholm by dance

Advantages: Convenient location - between Sodermalm and Gamla Stan
Disadvantages: There are two boats - you might not stay on red boat

When I was in Stockholm, I stayed on the other boat (the... oh, can't remember the name... ryjejford something!) which is just next to the Red Boat. It was quite good but very noisy too. I always thought the Red Boat would have been much better but apparently, it's not the case. You're invited to read my review about it if you like! xx by Pomcamgirl
