Advantages: Four Star Hotel with fabulous food and excellent facilities. Friendly staff and easy access to skiing.

You need to go into more depth with the info. Prices etc. I went to the Daventry one 2 weekends ago - i wasnt very impressed. I prefer the Mariott. B by Moonstorm

We visited the hotel in Skipton in August 2003, it advertised towels available for the pool - that had changed. Towels were no longer available. They had no milk or coffee to put in the rooms, they had run out of what seemed a very basic item. Shower gel was not replaced in the bathroom either, but one of the receptionists did try very hard to help and eventually he tracked down some fresh milk. Breakfasts were disappointing if you wanted continental, fresh fruit was non existent, and toast was the only item to put your selection of jam on. The American visitors seemed very surprised and disappointed. Check out each hotel for what is available. The canal running alongside is great for walks and watching the boats and Skipton is a lovely town. by jo145
