During my today`s invitation at this hotel i would like to tell that: - Scandic Kolding is to expensive - When I was leaving the hotel room in the morning, ( The room has been already paid by me evening before), they asked me to pay again for it. (They Reception Desk has no insight for what they do) - I would not to reccomend this Hotel for Visitors. - I`ve lost one hour to explain the whole problem. I`m happy that I took ferry without delation.

Advantages: Central location, free wireless access, clean and tidy
Disadvantages: Showing its age a bit!

Returning to Aarhus, there was no chance I was ever going to check back into the Hotel Mercur (see my review from April 2008 to read just why you should steer well clear) so I had to get searching for somewhere else. Denmark's second city seems to suffer ... Read review

Schaeffergarden is a congress center with hotel rooms just north of Copenhagen. You can book the rooms there just like in a normal hotel - and the price tag is pretty much ok compared to Copenhagen hotels of the same class. Pros: Nice old building next to a park, accomodation not too expensive Cons: Service is reduced to the minimum, rooms are plain, rather small and - most of all - not too clean. Our carpet was full of stains and the toilet in our bathroom was dirty too. This did not change in three days (although we told the reception about the problem).

Advantages: Friendly, enviting, accomodating
Disadvantages: expencive
