Advantages: Inn in downtown Banff.
Disadvantages: Breakfast was disappointing and luggage left for guests to deal with.

Have just come back from visiting Canada for 5 weeks. We hired a car and toured staying in Hotels and B&Bs. We loved it. Our first stop after Toronto was Niagara Falls. It was spectacular. The Maid of the Mist boat trip was excellent value for money. The town itself is a bit tacky. We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites, only opened last May. It was very good value for money, and would recommend it.
