My friend went travelling around Oz a few years ago and has photos taken with loads of the cast including Harold, Toady etc. She didn't go on this tour though I don't think, she met them in the local pub lol x by lizngaz

Booked this room via www.wotif.com and found it to be substandard to say the least. Room was noisey and noise and smell of smoke travelled from people in the courtyard straight into our room. Bathroom smelt badly after shower from suspected drain issues. Generally low standard rooms with TV needing pen to push in the on/off button. Was not as close to the City Centre as was expected. Generally disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable holiday!

Advantages: Good way to pass an afternoon or morning out of the Melbourne sun.
Disadvantages: Not really much to see, but still worth it

To be honest there is not really a lot left to see of the original Gaol, as most of it was pulled down to make way for the University. All that is left is on three story wing, though it is the wing which contained NED KELLY prior to his execution. The ... Read review

Hi, i am beginning to think you and I visited an entirely different melbourne. It is a miserable, grey city when the weather is cold and the only thing that brightened it for me was the trip to St Kildas where we saw the penguins on the breakwater for free. Not sure when u visited but everything in Australia is so EXPENSIVE except for eating out. that is comparable because u get larger portions and better quality than at home although choice in restaurants is very limited and they all ahve similar dishes to choose from. I was there about 6 weeks ago and contracted food poisoning on my first day there so lost a couple of days. I will be traveling there in 3 weeks just for two days so hope to see it in the sunshine. If u enjoyed aus try Brisbane -cleaner warmer and greener. by Brisbanebunny
