Sorry to hear of your experiences though, I did have to laugh that you put your staff in the freezer - think you meant stuff! 	The best place to stay in Cairns Review of Gilligans Backpackers Hotel, Cairns by clover123 Advantages: Extremely clean, fantastic facilities and brilliant location Disadvantages: Check in not until 2pm. I stayed at Gilligan's for two weeks and had a fantastic stay. It is an amazing venue with clean rooms, a large tv area, pool, bar and a treatment room. It was about a 5 minute walk from the bus stop to the hostel. The airport was also located within a close proximity. There was a shuttle service running from town to the airport every 20 minutes and it was around a 20 minute journey. In terms of location the hotel was situated in an ideal area. About 5 minutes to the north were the clothes shops and there was also a huge Woolworths to do grocery shopping.
