Capital views from a wonderfully windy city

Eagle eye views of the prettiest capital city

A good review of Mt Vic. I have climbed it on a number of occasions, and (on a fine day) it offers marvellous views. Thanks for including it on Caio, it brought back memories for me as an ex-Wgtn. by Jim2003

The Museum
Review of Te Papa Tongarewa (Museum of New Zealand), Wellington by 13283

Advantages: Lots to see and do, brilliant garden to explore outside. Plan for two half day visits to get most out of it. And its FREE.
Disadvantages: On 2nd floor have to pay to 'experience' rides. Maori folk tale rather than scientific facts.

Had a Lord of the Rings expo on at the same time - informative, however, ends on April 20th 2006, worth a visit if it tours around. The rides which can be experienced on the second floor are to go with; Past Future Not scientifically based, however, ... Read review

Wellington. If you are young - give it the boot

Advantages: A nice looking, small city, easily explorable
Disadvantages: Not much left to do after 2 days! Young people will be bored unless they like museums.
