Kawai rx-2
Review of Kawai RX-2 Classic Grand Piano by MsTree

Advantages: Lovely dynamics
Disadvantages: could be a bit more responsive

I played this piano for the first time today, it really makes a difference when you play a grand which has more length to it, the sound is louder and clearness of each note really stands out. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this piano and would recommend it ... Read review

Yamaha Silver YS62 Alto Saxophone
Review of Yamaha Alto Saxophones by spuddy2

Advantages: Beauty and Sound
Disadvantages: None

Yamaha Alto Saxophone YS62 Silver Finish Bought new recently plays beautifully, easy top notes with clear sound, good low notes although for me the low note L.H. 5 finger will need work to get smooth transitions between notes. Quite a bright tone which ... Read review

Quick review of Schilke B3L Bb Trumpet
Review of Schilke B3L Bb Trumpet by NTSUalumni

I've owned a gold plated Schilke B3L [aka tuning bell] trumpet with beryllium bells since 1973 and wouldn't play anything else. It's a large bore, professional horn that requiress a well developed embrouchure. It is the most responsive, free blowing horn I've ever played, and I've played on a lot of different models over the years, [Bach, Benge, Conn, F. Besson, Getzen, Holton, King, LeBlanc, etc.]. It served me well as a professional as well as when I was a student at North Texas. ftr: I use a Bach 1 1/2 C mouthpiece with a "S" backbore.

Review of Yamaha Powder Paper by paulhanton

Advantages: Cheap maintenance for your pads.
Disadvantages: None.

Yamaha Powder Pads What the chuff are these Paul? I hear you ask. Well, quite simply they are small sheets of paper that have a very slight dusting of powder (like talcum) on one side. Like a pad saver (brush), a crook cleaner and a mouthpiece guard ... Read review

Elkhart 100TH Eb Tenor (Alto) Horn
Review of Elkhart 100TH Series Eb Tenor Horn by Lumbricus

Advantages: Build quality, appearance and tone. Excellent soft case.
Disadvantages: Very minor intonation issues in the upper register.

For the amazing price of this instrument (I paid around the £150 mark) it is an excellent horn for a player of beginner or intermediate standard. It is beautifully proportioned in the traditional saxhorn style - far more appealing to my eye than the open ... Read review

Quick review of Buescher Cornet
Review of Buescher Cornet by shaolin805

I have played this same model Buescher cornet for 21 years that belonged to my Great Grandfather. Recently invested $800 to have it restored. Well worth having around for another 100 years. These older style Bueschers are quality instruments. Great for beginner or pro.

Quick review of Schilke S32 Bb Trumpet
Review of Schilke S32 Bb Trumpet by Robbiethelips

I've owned a Vin Bach and Stomvi but decided to try a Schilke and to be honest the difference was marked, for a slight increase in price I noticed that it was a real step up.I also changed my warburton mouthpiece from a 3MC to a 3D with a B9 shank and since then I have a 3 octave range going from a bottom F# to G above C it also blows a super C on occasion when I'm blowing well.It crosses Classical playing to Jazz and records beautifully and since trying a Taylor Chicago Custom to compare was glad to get back on my Shcilke as the Taylor wasn't a patch on my Schilke.

Review of Hohner Silver Star C Harmonica by JeffFromPoole

Advantages: Great price and value, top quality instrument

I have been playing the harmonica for over thirty years. Of all the instruments I play this is the one that have done best at, probably because it is the least anti-social, most portable and most convenient. Being a lot quieter that most of my music ... Read review

Hohner is the best, although I have Lee Oskars, because they fit together. I don't get the gentleman's problem, because they're in my handbag! by S.Bate
I bought a couple of cheap "mouthies" for our girls as I felt the resultant noise would be less offensive than drums for example...can't coment on their quality as I am tone-deaf and they are only two and a half - but they certainly have lots of fun with them! Good review, Caroline xx by carcraig
