Steer well clear of this firm. Their actions/inaction meant that my father, an 81 year old, was left outside the property he thought he had purchased with all his possessions in a removal van. They gave conflicting reasons for why they could not complete only 24 hours after giving an absolute guarantee that everything was in place and in their possession. They did not appear to care about the stress & anxiety caused and did not show any sense of urgency or apology.

What can one say! Who fell for the Estate Agent Pitch--it MAKES LIFE EASY USING (CPL) if i had known what i know now then i would of done a runner from the estate agent and put my house on E-bay and got my six year old son to do the legal work and had money left over for a nice family holiday!!it cant be excussed the traumer that my family have been through dealing with retarded practice of liers !!!!! All i can say is i will never sell or buy any property involved with this excuse of a supposed law firm.. take my word for it lost post and lies are just the begining of hassles its scandolous to think there in practice!

I have recently moved into my new home and I stumbeled upon this review site. I thought I would have to say that my solicitor was great. Always there to answer my questions and I usually got a response to my queries within a couple of hours. The SMS and email updates sent by easier2move really helped keep me in the loop.

I no longer believe any reviews about this company and suspect 99% are written be CWPL staff or the staff of their competitors. ........The company saved me lots of money when I tried to and then pulled out of buying a house from someone stupid enough to use them. I'm sure that the review written by 'coolchanty' was written by somebody within the company trying to promote it and give at least one good review to contrast every other review on the site which is awful. Note all references to the history of the company, the review seems too carefully and informatively put together to be written by anyone else. I would advise people steer clear of CPL as I am currently the purchaser of a property whose owners are using CPL and lets say the process has been prolonged since October with still no exchange. Bairstow Eves who refer their customers there seem unbothered by the lack of progress even though it may lose them their commision. DO NOT USE!

Avoid like the plague! I share the last reviewers note and again it took them 14 weeks to exchange contracts where no "chain" was involved. I have referred them to both the CLC and Law Society as to their complete and utter incompetence and negligence. Whilst they may appear cheap, they have created inordinate amounts of stress, a near loss of house sale, and when you call them, NO one will take responsibility. If there was a minus rating - believe me they would get it and some. Am awaiting the outcome of my complaint to them and CLC so will let you know

It was suggested by our vendors estate agent, that we use Countrywide for our last house purchase but we declined, thank goodness! And they are expensive- we payed our soliciters several hundred pounds less than the quote from Countrywide and got an excellent service. by suelr13

I am currently using Enact (or should that be 'Inept'...) and without question they are the single worse company I have had the misfortune to deal with. We are currently selling and purchasing through them, and naively took them on as a recommendation by 'Your Move' estate agents (Who could also be the subject of this complaint). Firstly they are terrible with customer services, this includes, no call-backs when promised, delayed postal mail outs, a rude phone manner, inability to tell the truth and time delaying tactics. Secondly, I get the impression that they use very inexperienced employees (drop outs from law school, Michael, you know who you are....) Stay away, Enact = W*****S!
