After many years of very positive online shopping experience with a wide range of retailers, I was extremely disappointed by the customer-unfriendly policies of topshop.co.uk.
My saga started when I was unable to find two items in store that I wanted to get as Christmas presents. Fortunately, both were available online so I placed my order and selected express delivery (£5) to ensure safe arrival before Christmas. Confirmation emails arrived almost ... ...however, was only one of the items, together with an invoice that showed the other ordered item as 'cancelled'. I called Customer Services to find out what had happened and they explained that it was likely that between me placing my order and it being filled the item had gone out of stock. The lady in Customer Services was very apologetic and offered to refund half the P&P. As I still wanted the missing item I reordered over the phone in another ...

...home I looked on the Topshop.co.uk website and there they were in my size, I started the ordering process immediately. You can imagine how upset I was to find that the delivery cost was £4, way above any other website I have ever used, and I was disappointed further to find that I could not use my student ID to get student discount, which I am able to use in stores. So I did not get my shoes and am waiting to see if another store will have them in ...

Advantages: Easy to browse; regularly updated range; good selection; easy to purchase Disadvantages: Delivery can be slightly problematic
...I much prefer to use topshop.co.uk - yes you pay for delivery, but to me that's a small price to pay to avoid this nightmare!
Topshop.co.uk is one of the better laid out online shops - the site uses an attractive black colour scheme and the clothes are divided into categories down the left hand side of the page. You can choose to browse by New In items (great for people who browse the site often), Special Offers, Sale, Kate Moss range, Dresses, ... ...this reason especially I love topshop.co.uk - you can log on on the first day of the sale and pick up some bargains in a very calm and easy way. Last year before Christmas I'd had my eye on the iconic Kate Moss sequinned flapper dress but at £250 was way out of my price range, not to mention being limited edition so not many to be found. I was over the moon to find one in my size in the sale for only £90! I snapped it up quickly and it's one of my ...

Advantages: large selection of items Disadvantages: slow for people with a dial up connection
Topshop is perhaps one of the best shops around today. It has something for everyone. It has a tall, petite and maternity section and a huge range of jewellery. The best Topshop i have visited has to be the one in the Bullring just because of the sheer size of it.
I love the funky underwear especially the girl boxers. The underwear they sell is all good quality, yet fashionable stuff. They aren't outrageously priced and look great.
I find all the ... ...really make you look fantastic! They sell simple t shirts, which teamed up with some cool jeans and some chunky jewellerly look fab. Also the hooded tops look great with a pair of moto jeans and a kewl scarf!
The trousers for work/school are great value and quality, they prove school uniform doesn't have to look nasty! All the coats in there are quite expensive but you are buying something that will last, keep you nice and toasty, and look amazing!

Currently, a picture of a model in a bikini from their summer range and an advert for a green charity wrist band in support of the NSPCC is displayed. There is also a box containing the "Daily Fashion Fix" and hovering the pointer over it reveals the item description ... ...UK are asked to contact topshop.co.uk first by a given email address. Orders can be tracked via telephone or email.
Payment is by the usual cards accepted by Arcadia group (of which Topshop belongs) and you can also use your Topshop Privilege card if you have one. Returns - I have never personally had to return anything but I spoke to a friend who has in order to report about this service. She said that Topshop met their statement as it appears ...
