The totalise SMS service is another great facility from the main Totalise ISp - they always produce great products. After some intial teething troubles, where messgaes did not get sent or took a couple of days to get through the system, it is now much approved and very fast. Advantages: Fast, reliable, free
Disadvantages: limit of 10 messages/day per phone number

*** UPDATED 22/2 *** Due to the impending inter-network fee being imposed by the mobile phone companies, Totalise have had to suspend the free SMS service :-( **** Totalise offer a free SMS gateway from their site to Totalise users and non-users alike. The only restriction is that you may send a maximum of 10 messages per day to the SAME number, although the total number of SMS messages you can send to different numbers is not limited. I have ...
