...twitter.com Summary I may have sounded very critical in this review, but hey, it's just one person's opinion. This site may be what you've been looking for all your life, but this really isn't for me. There are many great features of the site, and the site does everything well, I just don't ... Read review

Birds are Twittering, But I'm Missing Something

Advantages: Good web layout, many ways to use, easy to use.
Disadvantages: I may be missing something... but I don't see it being that useful

The internet is full of websites to help you network, and keep in touch, and being a twenty-something year old, I'm just in the right generation to have tried them all. I've let people into MySpace, I've Facebooked everyone I know, I've blogged, I've uploaded to YouTube, I've chatted on many types of instant messenger, played game sites with a community and done things most people have probably never heard of.

And so when I heard of ...
...internet, who was I to resist? So I clicked onto Twitter and signed up, and this is my view.

==A Brief History Of Twitter==

Twitter is relatively new on the scene on the social network scene on the internet. It started sometime in 2006 as a research and development project, and was initially used by employees of a company called Odeo, a podcasting group based in San Fransisco. Both Odeo and Twitter were later operate by ... more

Twitter - Tweet Tweet!

Advantages: Great site, simple to use, loads well, lots of celebrities online, short & sweet status updates.
Disadvantages: None.

Twitter.com is an online social networking site that allows you to connect with other people around the world for free and see what they have been up to. Twitter is free to join and signup is easy and simple. Just provide your name, username, email address & a secure password. Once you have signed up you can then add an avatar or profile picture to your account as well as customise some settings such as making your Twitter updates only available ...
...as it means you can rant safe in the knowledge that certain people can't actually read what you've been writing. Twitter is becoming more popular recently and I have an iPhone and download applications for it and I am finding that a lot of creators of applications have Twitter accounts and then they will post there with any new updates coming to the application or any downtime issues etc and it's great to be able to see it all on one page and in ...

A load of old twitter?

Advantages: Can use it to find interesting discussions, catch up with the news
Disadvantages: Not many of my friends are actually on there

It was only a matter of time before another social networking site popped up and here it is in the form of twitter.com. 'Not another one' I can already hear you thinking! Twitter calls itself a 'free social networking and micro-blogging service', and enables you to read what other users have posted in updates known as 'tweets'. These posts can be upto 140 bytes in length so really are micro-blogs, I'm used to reading much longer blogs which go into ...
...is enough. People will use these tweets to talk about anything, from what they are having for breakfast to the latest news around the world. == Using the Site == Twitter works slightly differently to other network sites in that you don't add people as friends as such, you can choose to 'follow' them instead. This will give you access to their status updates straight away, they don't have to approve you as a friend and you won't automatically be ...

Yes you can make money on Twitter

Advantages: It's the quickest way to find out the latest news
Disadvantages: Every now and then the site goes down because of too many tweets

'''Twitter.com''' Twitter is a microblogging social networking site. It revolves around one simple question "What are you doing right now?" I signed up for a twitter account about a year ago but I never really knew what to do with it so my account stayed dormant for months. Recently it seems like everyone is twittering. Celebrities are doing it, sports figures, stores, regular people and unfortunately spammers are tweeting too. Since the recent influx ...
...Twitter another glance to see if I could tell what all the commotion was about. Twitter is now much better than it was when I first started simply because there are so many more people on the site. This makes it more fun. You can find people that you know, stay in touch with family and friends and make new friends that share similar interests as you. Ciao has a twitter account, you can find Ciao's account and look on their friends list to see if ...

@A Tweeting addiction

Advantages: great name, tidy, easy to use, celebrities, attractive
Disadvantages: n/a

About three months ago I was watching a video on Youtube and the 'presenter' mentioned some site called Twitter. At the time I hadn't heard of it, and it sounded a little dull. However I decided to do some investigating to see what all the fuss was about. My good friend Wikipedia informed me that that Twitter was founded in 2006, so I was quite surprised that it had taken me this long to find out about it. It's headquarters are in San Francisco, ...
...obsession to reach the UK. Described as a micro-blogging, it was beginning to sound a little more exciting ago I thought best to head straight over to the website itself. When you first click onto the website, you are greeted with an exceptionally attractive homepage. The background is a heavenly sky blue colour with little cartoon clouds. In the centred white square, you can see a preview of what the profile pages look like, with a gorgeous little ...

Twit of a site

Advantages: None!
Disadvantages: Search capabilities, layout

I am an internet obsessive; no really, I spend atleast 10 hours of the day online! Added to that I am young; 18 in fact. These facts put togther, are what make it so difficult for me to understand exactly why I can not get to grips with twitter. I joined Twitter, basically, because I felt old! I had heard people talking about it for months and had seen it referenced in numerous television programmes, and it was spoke about as though it was going ...
...mainly because I hadn't the foggiest what twitter was. Eventually, I gave in to societal conformity, and thought I'd check it out for myself. After all, I'm usually the first to be joining these kind of sites. For those of you who don't know (but have undoubtedly heard of) twitter, it is essentially a social networking site. Twitter though, is the most unsociable of social networking sites! First off, I signed up. Simple enough process; enter your ...
