I bought 10 domains (1 .org and 9 .co.uk/.org.uk's) from uk2.net last year for a total of £105.63 for 2 years. Looking at their site, you could be forgiven for thinking that 10 domains would cost only a few pence, but you have to multiply all the monthly figures they quote by 24 to get to the two years they actually charge you for and then add in the registry fees and VAT.
I roughly worked out their current prices for the same 'Super 10' pack and it seems to come out to the same amount to within a pound or two. I can't be sure as their website doesn't work out the full price for you until you have selected your domains and entered credit card details, so I couldn't be bothered. I suspect this is what they are banking on.
The fact that their prices aren't a lot cheaper a year down the line, indicates they may have been resting on their laurels somewhat.
I have since upgraded 2 of the domains to ad-free domain forwarding, i.e. paying to make them desist from including an advertising frame and an ad popup. This is essential if you want them to look reasonably professional, but costs a steep £22.32 per domain for 2 years. Some competitors now offer this in their basic packages, which is the number 1 reason while I'll be trying someone else for my next batch of domains.
Their price for hosting is also expensive, but I don't regard this as a problem because what with the space your ISP gives you and free hosting services, you shouldn't need to pay for hosting from your domain registration company.
The image uk2.net projects is slightly schizophrenic. The barely literate content of their website and emailnewsletter suggest a bunch of hobbyists in a back bedroom, but they claim to be the largest UK host and they push services aimed more at the corporate market like dedicated servers at £25+VAT a month.
This review has been fairly negative so far, but on the positive side, I am perfectly happy with uk2.net's actual services. I have found their web and email redirection to be reliable and generally fairly fast, the domains were availble quickly (far quicker than some ISPs who charge far more for domains) and I eventually received the nominet certificates, so they really do register the domains in your name.
If they reduced their prices to match the competition and threw in ad-free web forwarding for free, I would use them again.

Dodgy pricing seems to be a concern for many of these sort of web service companies. Try oneandone.co.uk. I've started dealing with them and they seem a lot more honest than the likes of webfusion, get-you-.co.uk, 123-reg.co.uk and others. Give them a try. M.
Advantages: easily misled by the nice site & features to believe they may actually provide a good service Disadvantages: no support whatsoever, no money back, does not work!
