For all of you film fans out there, I recommend this to you as quite simply the BEST Movie Website there is – bar none!

imdb.com - INTERNET MOVIE DATABASE - Is simply that. A database of Actors, Actresses, Directors, Films, both ancient and modern. Mainstream and obscure. Indeed this is a quite essential tool for all of you who want to check details of a film or remind yourself of the cast list before putting your ‘opinion’ or review down into words.

But it not just a database, it is a veritable mine of information. The site is linked into Amazon.com so can tell you release dates and prices of DVDs and Videos. So if you’ve found your film, written your review, you can buy the film too.

One of the outstanding attributes of this site is that if you are a fan of a particuler artiste, you can search for details on them by entering their name in the search box. This will give you a list of all their film and/or TV Appearances. So although you may think that Actor ‘A’ has just brought out a new film, check his ‘filmography’ and you may find that he’s got three more about to be released in the US. Click on ‘release dates’ and it will tell you if there is a date set for it’s release over here – or in fact in many countries of the world.

If he has one out already – you can check to see if anyone has submitted a review of it already to the site. IMDB contains both professional reviews and reviews from fans just like you.

Check the site further and you can find photo stills or trailers from the movies as well. Delve further on and you can sign up for newsletters, details of fan sites, up to date movie news from Hollywood and beyond.

If you are fed up with trawling through supposedly good movie websites and find that you are still searching for that piece of info – you must try www.imdb.co.uk (or .com, it matters not).

In fact, rather sadly, this is where a lot of cheats find 'their' reviews from. Fortunately 'movie_plonker' cannot quite justify that the review he just posted as his own, is his, as imdb detail who wrote each reader review and where they are from! So kids, don't try it.
