In addition, there is the opportunity to create "fantasy" share portfolios, so that one can practice dealing in shares without fear of financial loss. Once confidence is high, you can do it for real for a flat commission of £14.95 per trade.(This is reasonable but Sharetrade is cheaper at £12.95.) Virginmoney is a useful overview for the novice investor, and has wizards to tell you which investment plan would best suit your personal needs, but perhaps one should take care to take some more detailed advice before taking the plunge. As for share dealing, the site, like all of its kind, gives the rather dangerous impression that buying and selling shares is easy. It may indeed be easy to buy them at the click of a mouse, but this can sometimes detract from the real possibility of losing money if things go wrong.
