Walkers have a tasty new addition to the 'crisp' family - crisps with Sunday Roast Dinner flavours. I've tried a couple of these varieties and certainly have my preferences regarding the flavours available.

Available are Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, Baked Ham and Mustard and my favourite Lamb and Mint sauce.

My first experience was of the Roast Beef flavour. I personally couldn't taste the Yorkshire Pudding part but the Beef was certainly Beefy, so not bad as far as a crisp goes. Then today in my local Londis shop I spied the Lamb and Mint flavour. I duly parted with my 27p and went straight back to my office for lunch.

The packet itself is a foiled sealed packet for extra freshness, with the Walkers logo situated on the front of the packet, along with a knife, fork and dinner plate and the words "Great British Dinners".

Are far as taste goes, I could taste both the lamb and the mint sauce, as the product name implies. Walkers have got a good blend of the two flavours, so one doesn't overpower the other. One of the down sides with Lamb is it tends to be greasy, as this was also present in the taste and texture of this flavour.

Nutrition wise, one 34.5g bag will provide 181 calories and 11.4g of fat, of which 4.8g are saturated fat - so like any crisp, they're not great for those dieting. 2.2g of protein are provided and 1.2g of fibre. On the packet, along with the full list of nutrional values is a guideline to daily amounts of the recommended calorie and fat intake, which is very handy for people who may be watching what they eat.

I was pleased to note that there are no artificial colourings used in this product. Walkers also rather helpfully point out in their list of ingredients that 'animal rement' is present in the flavouring aspect, so therefore not recommended for Vegetarians. The main ingredients are potatoes (of course!!), vegetable oil, flavourings including wheat products, flavour enhancers, paprika extract, lacose, soya protein, lamb powder, barley malt and salt.. Therefore making these crisps not great for those who are wheat or lactose intolerant either.

All in all, these crisps are great for a savoury snack - they are fresh and full of flavour and fills a little whole, while the real Sunday Dinner is cooking!!!
