Webswappers are the new owners of the brilliant (but annoying) swapitshop. They have taken over a wonderful site, which was fun and easy to use and turned it into an annoying load of rubbish.
I only registered for Webswappers today after seeing an advertisement on the exquisite Ciao site, and I am already starting to see major faults.
There are many swap web site like this around now (Swap CD, swapitshop etc) and this seems to be the biggest and ... ...it is worldwide and you can get imported CD’s for stuff you don’t want. The biggest thing up for swap is a car.
~ What is the deal? ~
This isn’t run like any other swap site I have come across. You don’t work on sawpits of points; you just swap what you want for what you don’t. There is a major downfall because of this though. Example:
I have: A piece of paper
I want: An Xbox. The people obviously don’t have to swap or anything, but it clutters ...

Advantages: Get another book, CD or PC game for the cost of a stamp! Disadvantages: Masses of swaps listed, so it can take ages to look through a whole category.
I'm surprised that Webswappers wasn't listed in the swap sites section as it is by far the largest and most comprehensive of the swap sites that exist on the Web. Indeed, most of the other swap sites around seem to have disappeared, more dotcom casualties! But Webswappers is still alive and kicking, so they must be doing something right!
The site itself does just what you would expect it to, you can 'swap what you have & find what you want'. They ... ...You are bound to find something you're interested in.
It's free to list your swap, though you can also pay a small fee to have your swap highlighted on the site or to get insurance 'against non-delivery and fraudulent swap description' thereby getting rid of the 'what if ...' safety worry.
Once you have registered and placed your swaps, you can also make offers on other swaps or email swappers through a confidential email system. This means that ...
