A guy of my age 28 with an strong interest in cars has grown up on the likes of auto express, top gear and what car. I used to look at these magazines and dream of which car i could get when i grew up. I had many debates about the ins and outs of car design, f1 and rallying in my youth at school and in college. You had to wait either a week or a month depending on which magazine you bought to fuel a new debate or get one up on your mate. My source of information was what car, this had all the new write ups and intesting tests plus new and used car prices. The prices of which i used to compare with my savings account to see how far i was off a porsche 911, needless to say i still do 12 years later. But since my school days there has been a new dawn and one we cant and shouldnt miss the internet. Everyone who was and is someone i.e shops manufactures etc got on the band wagon so did my information source. I cant afford my porsche but I could a computer, now with al the information past and present at my finger tips I have no debate to fuel. Yet I still buy what car stupidly while roaming round whsmith on a weekend. Realising when i get home the what car website that i registered free with has the exact information as in the magazine. The will be thousands of people who still buy the mag for reasons of their own, they may not be in the computer age yet. But I regularly look on the website to read as you would the magazine news, reviews and advice sections. All you need do now is drop them an email instead of writing in as in my school days. You also have the option of following links to car suppliers, weather reports, new car searches all uptodate un like a magazine which is only uptodate at the time of print. This is the main advantage of what car online,it has added features and real time searches and advice. This is true of most website these days but compared to a magazine whatcar.com wins hands down. You no longer need to wait a month for uptodat information you can get it instantly. You can subscribe to the web site if your searching for a car and recieve emails when a car is found or offer comes up within ur price range. The magazines were good but they must fold in the future as the new technology takes over. In the age of the internet whatcar has successfully moved from traditional magazine to the internet easily. I recommend this website as your all seeing eye for cars and car info. I am a bit heavy on the foot and I know this increases my costs dramatically. My weekly travel to work is 120 miles, thats 12 there, 12 back, 5 times a week. Plus my other running around and I work out about £15 per week. I don't know precisely but it works out about 48mpg. Not to shabby!!!
The car gets a top write up on Whatcar.com as being a fun car to drive and well after a while its not so bad. Also on checking the Euroncap.com although the Saxo only gets a 2 star rating, on the childrens safety zone it actually faired not too bad.
In conclusion - it is really a bit of a girls car, it can be quite noisy on motorways. It has a drivers air bag but no passenger which isn't great. Its fun to drive but it is not practical for a family which I ...

If you are a seller, you can get an idea of a likely value through a free Whatcar valuation or for £2.95 you can get a Glass's guide valuation and a downloadable certificate. As a seller you can advertise your car on the website for two weeks for a bargain £17.99, which is not bad value at all.
Generally I have found the speed of the site to be fine, although there were a few minor teething troubles after the changes to the car search engine over the weekend, thankfully these seem to have been resolved fairly quickly. Overall, if you are searching for a car, or want to sell your car, I highly recommend www.autotrader.co.uk as whether you are buying or selling the target audience/available stock is massive via this portal.

I haven't found any major problems driving this car. No reason to suspect it's not going to continue to be reliable, rattle free etc. With its yearly or first service not due for about another six months, I probably still have a lot to learn from driving it. All I can say is that after driving it for the first month, I was very used to all the controls etc. After driving it for nearly six months, I'm enjoying it more each time I go out in it. It's such a pleasurable experience. Vauxhall have excelled here, I look forward to experiencing more from them. I'm in love with this car.
