I would recommend winkflash to anybody without hesitation; I think it inconceivable that you would not be impressed by the quality, price, and customer service.

My only concern is - how long can they continue to operate when their prices fail to even cover costs? That's their concern, not ours - and I sincerely recommend you give them a try.  ... more

With hundreds of digital photos to my name but nothing tangible to show for them, I thought it was about time to let some of them see the light of day and commit them to paper - rather than hide them away in the dark depths of my eminently losable CD "archives".

Having tested - and been slightly underwhelmed by - the quality of digital services at a couple of high street stores, I had pretty much given up hope of getting excellent film-quality prints from my digital camera - until I stumbled across Winkflash.

Quite simply, the whole package is faultless. The prices are unbeatable, as you can see on the web site. But, it is the quality of the prints that will really impress you. I ordered a series of pictures of various sizes and finishes, and every single one vastly exceeded both my expectations, and the quality obtained elsewhere.

With no preparation, you simply upload the pictures to a free "album" and use the simple web interface to make your order. It is nice that options such as glossy/matte white borders/no borders are free and easy to control - as is the option to crop your images as you choose.

I placed the order late on a saturday night and received the photos thursday morning - despite the fact that the photos were shipped from New Jersey, USA, and that postage costs are fixed at just 99p. The sturdy packaging was truly excellent and was probably worth more than the value of my order. Considering that a two megapixel camera is not supposed to be up to producing crisp images above about 7x5", it is remarkable that the 10x8 print I got from winkflash was fantastic - certainly better than film enlargements I've had in the past. The 6x4 and 7x5 were absolutely faultless. In all cases, the pictures were smooth, sharp, and the colours were outstandingly vibrant. Again, in each case the photos looked better than they appear on screen.
