...woggle.co.uk). Most Ciao-ers will soon spot some of the familiar characters behind this site. They'll already be in your Circle of Trust (if you have any taste): Jill Murphy, Nolly, Water Witch, JohnV, Amaryllis... The emphasis (as their not-very-serious Mission Statement stresses) is firmly ... Read review

Dib, Dib, Dob, Dob, Dob
Review of woggle.co.uk by Silverback

Advantages: It's a parish magazine for opinionators
Disadvantages: It's only once a month

Opinion sites are a bit like libraries. Go in there looking for something specific and you'll probably be disappointed. But if you're prepared to browse around, the chances are you'll stumble across something unexpected and interesting. What you won't find in a library is a crowd of people, some of whom have interesting views, or who share your tastes, or are just good writers. In the old cliché, an opinion site is essentially a community. In time, ...
...they tell you about things they like. You follow up their tips. In turn they may respond to your suggestions. As in any community, there are enmities, alliances, gossip and rumour. Unlike a lot of so-called communities there's general air (especially on Ciao) of easy-going tolerance, of acceptance of opposing views and interest in others' ideas. I've heard that there are message boards and groups where people sound off and slag off, but they don't ... Read review

The Mind Woggles
Review of woggle.co.uk by Soho_Black

Advantages: Entertaining, informative, and all for us
Disadvantages: Quite basic, a slight bias in the news, but it's early days

...way! That way is Woggle.co.uk – fun and games for opinionators. Woggle is a new monthly internet magazine written by opinionators for opinionators. How it got its’ name, I have no idea. I suspect someone said “Woggle is a great word isn’t it, let’s call it that!” The people writing it are names many will recognise, and are all active on at least one of Ciao, Dooyoo and U-Rate-It. If you’ve ever enjoyed the writing of Sue Magee, Amaryllis, Nolly, ...
...There are also contributions from JohnV, WaterWitch, alliecat, and SandraR. Of the main team, I suspect that Sue and Amaryllis are the calming influences, with Nolly and Alk providing the humour. I also suspect that Jill is hovering between the two camps depending on how much she’s had to drink, and that Alk is constantly feeding her G and T in the hope she’ll be in his camp. I could be wrong of course. It’s happened before. A paragraph ago, in ... Read review

Wiggle my Woggle
Review of woggle.co.uk by ShoppingGirl

Advantages: Fresh, funny, full of news and opinionating name-checks
Disadvantages: Gossip isn't filthy enough

...you to surf over to Woggle.co.uk to read the net's *only* online magazine for UK opinionators. Whether you're a dooyoo money maker, a Ciao community lover or a loyal supporter of the U-rate-it underdog, there'll be something here you'll enjoy reading. Published monthly, the site is produced and written by opinionators just like us, albeit with better dots: Jill Murphy and Sue Magee are two super Ciao ladies whose input features large on Woggle, ...
...so it's very homely and community-like for any Ciaoer's who pop over. The very lovely Amaryllis (celandine on dooyoo) is another main contributor, as is dooyoo’s famous alkiliguru. There are lots of other contributors whom I’m afraid I don’t know personally, but there is a fine balance between humour, practical info and downright bizarreness. The first thing you will notice about Woggle is the very simple, almost Spartan layout. Like dooyoo, the ... Read review

Woggle makes you wibble
Review of woggle.co.uk by jimblob

Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: Monthly

Opinionaters, a rare breed, an eclectic collection of writers of varying degrees of readability, writeability and likeability (you can add "ability" to lots of descriptive words, it's fun! ). Usually these people congregate on one or more opinion/review sites such as Ciao, Dooyoo or U-Rate-It, they read and rate each others scribblings and sometimes enter into a bit of correspondence via Forums and Guestbooks. Now there is the reletively new (three ...
...opinionaters and published on the web by opinionators. Woggle is both funny and informative with many old friends contributing and is fast becoming the most anticipated monthly event on the web calander. So what does it look like and what features does it have? HOME PAGE. The home page has no flashy thingies to assault your sensitive eyes, it has, funnily enough, a picture of two "woggles" either side of the header. A woggle, for those not in ... Read review
