Not for me

None. Not a single one.

Too many to mention here!

World Books @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ In no uncertain terms, World Books are a prime example of new age vagabonds. I have yet to meet anyone who has had a good experience of this company and I sincerely doubt I ever will. I have decided to update this review as I recieved this...

Sometimes cheap books

Too much hassle, other stuff's a bit pricey, just ...

Okay, I’ll admit it. I only joined World Books to take advantage of their ‘buy books for 1p each when you join and receive a free gift’ offer. In my opinion, it’s just another book club. There are a number of these book clubs about on the net. So does this one stand out? From what I’ve heard...

Paying for recommended readings

If you are in to books then this is the Book Club to join. I have recently joined World Books and thought they are really good. To join World Books you choose 5 books for £2.00 each and then the terms and conditions are you have to buy 4 books in your first year of joining. They have a website...

Cheap introductory offer

Absolute pain thereafter

I've always been sceptical about mail order clubs, but thought that I'd give this one a chance. The introductory offer said that you buy x books for a fantastic reduction, on the basis that you buy 2 more in the following year. Fine, I read a lot of books, so thought this would be no trouble...

Not for me

Attempts to obtain money for unsolicited goods

In early spring a representative from WorldBooks telephoned me to welcome me to the club. At the time I told him I had not joined any book club nor did I intend to do so. He laughed and said that maybe it happened because of a "click-through" from another website. As it happens, I am a member of...

You can get a good deal when you open the account

Bad communication if there's a problem

I signed up with this company last year in order to get some books for my family for Christmas. I understood that I had to buy 6 further books, in a year, before I closed my account. I did not notice any mention that they would send me a book of the month unless it was cancelled, which I have...

The need to remember to accept or decline monthly ...

I have been a member of World Books on two occassions and I have to say that this time around it has been much more enjoyable. The first time around I had trouble remembering to accept or decline the book of the month and consequently ended up with books I did not want. I therefore decided to...

Not for me

published 27/12/2007

Thursday 27th December 2007 Yes, this morning I rang the BCA Call Centre in the middle of India to find out where the refund cheque I requested inOctober 2007. Yet again I was told it must be lost in the post. This company not only employes brain dead people it employees liars too. Avoid this company your better going to WHSmiths and ordering books if they don't have them in stock. I won't be ordering from this company again.
