In no uncertain terms, World Books are a prime example of new age vagabonds. I have yet to meet anyone who has had a good experience of this company and I sincerely doubt I ever will. I have decided to update this review as I recieved this morning yet another batch of "please won't you come back to us we loved you so..." leaflets wrapped up in very probably non-biodegradable plastic, and with no ... ...to someone who is blatently NOT INTERESTED), or indeed, for that matter, my very specific requests on numerous occassions that they DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN EVER, posted to my home for me to get cross over, be late for work because I am cross over, and be forsced to find the extra 2 minutes in my day to recycle said literature. As you can probably tell, I am not a happy bunny. Being on the mail preference service means that it is ILLEGAL for them ...

Advantages: Sometimes cheap books Disadvantages: Too much hassle, other stuff's a bit pricey, just another book club
Okay, I’ll admit it. I only joined World Books to take advantage of their ‘buy books for 1p each when you join and receive a free gift’ offer. In my opinion, it’s just another book club. There are a number of these book clubs about on the net. So does this one stand out? From what I’ve heard about other ones, they sound either similar or slightly better.
SIGNING UP
I joined just under (over?) two years ago. I found WorldBooks through a website ... ...WorldBooks to get some books for 1p each. I chose the Harry Potter boxset (I don’t like Harry Potter but I sold the boxset on Ebay for £18), a memory workout book, a confidence building book, a dream dictionary, an A to Z of everything general knowledge book, and I received a free radio (which I’ve still never used). I gave them my details through their website and was sent some information through the post. I received a welcome letter, account details, ...

If you are into books then this is a site that’s worth checking out. I was sent an anonymous e-mail advertising this site, at first upset at sent more junk mail I decided to have a look. Now, I am glad I did. However, do be patient as the site can take a while to load up but it’s worth waiting for. The site has recently been re-designed to give it a brighter look, and it’s certainly worked. The site looks much neater, well organised ... ...to visit on the site, so don’t worry if you get stuck on where to go to first. Advantages: A wide range of books Disadvantages: Paying for recommended readings
If you are in to books then this is the Book Club to join.
I have recently joined World Books and thought they are really good. To join World Books you choose 5 books for £2.00 each and then the terms and conditions are you have to buy 4 books in your first year of joining.
They have a website which is worth looking at. The website has been re-designed to give it a brighter look and it's certainly worked. The site looks much neater, well organised ... ...to chose from when your thinking of buying another book e.g gardening, exercise, autobiography, horror, true story's, thriller's, romanbce, mystery's and loads more. They also do books to suit children.
You get a magazine every month from World Books, which is good. Inside the magazine they do pick of the week, bestseller and What's Hot. They have a good offer on at the moment all four of Dave Pelzer's books A Child Called It, The Lost Boy, A Man ...

Advantages: i cant think of any Disadvantages: i need to write a novel on this
I love reading books and came across a site which claimed to sell books at just 1 p on getting registered. Fair enough, the deal was good and I couldnt resist. It was only after a few days I got shocks of my life. book club started sending me books which I didnt even order! and to my horror, when I checked my online account, I had been slapped a bill of 35 pounds. When I questioned them about this, they said that the books were the Editor's choice ... ...send, they assume you are interested and would send them out. and this would happen every month. I immediately returned the lot of books the very next day. Though my account was settled, yet I was charged 4.95 for the late returns. I kept emailing them regularly with my complaints about the unwanted books and the unfair charge of late returns(that was the only way of communication as their phoneline is automated) but all my complaints fell on deaf ...
