Be careful about trial... |
|---|
I went onto the website for ancestry.co.uk. I tried to compile a family tree, with relevant details of great grandparents. Due to the fact that I could not find information, I then cancelled my subsciption within the 14 day trial period. A "your subscription has been cancelled" note popped-up. Today 2 months down the line, I found I was billed after all.
After going onto the websit, I found it very difficult to get information regarding this problem. I phoned a number I eventually found. A very friendly lady answered, she helped me to be refunded only 1 month of subscription. I still paid £25+ unfairly!Their web design is in question seeing that the pop-up said I have been unsubscibed. Apparently you have to press some unsubscribe "button" again at the end after getting the "you have been sucsesfully unscribed" note.
So, be careful and be warned! Make sure you get confirmation of cancellation emails!

Nothing else I got from this review except that I need to double check if I had successfully unsubscribed to their website. Nothing on features of website, how you filed your family tree even if you couldn't find your great grandparents on the site, its still worth a mention. Well, stuff like this you need to include.

I understand the fiasco was not nice for you. You require more relevant information included with your gripes, for a higher rating.
