I ordered a fridge freezer from Appliancesonline recently, and waited 6 weeks for it to be ordered direct from Hotpoint. On the scheduled day of delivery I received a dishwasher (also to arrive the same day) but no sign of the fridge freezer. Even the delivery guy did not know why it was not on the van. It transpired a week later that it had been damaged somwhere in transit, although this fact was not reported to me by customer service until I happened ... ...scheduled me in for the following Saturday as they said the fridge freezer was in stock(it showed as much on their site) but on the day it still did not arrive. I then had several phonecalls in order to speak to a manager, who then contacted Hotpoint direct in the hope of getting another appliance for me. But I still wonder if she ever actually called them. It's wonderful coming home after your holidays. Even if you've had a great time there's nothing better than putting your key in your door knowing that you have had a safe journey home. Well that's normally the way it is any way! This year when we put our key in the door we were met with a very stale smell and a rather large sticky, wet puddle making its way across the kitchen floor from beneath the fridge freezer! I stocked up my freezer before we ... ...when we got home without me having to do a shopping and also for the fact I knew we wouldn't have any money left! Unfortunately all the food was now only fit for the bin. Devastation! No money, no food and no fridge freezer. We did get an engineer in to have a look at the fridge freezer but of course if wasn't worth fixing.
