I first heard about Bananas.co.uk from a review online. The site is a relatively new offshoot of the Book People, essentially operating as a clearance section by selling off older stock at bargain prices. All different types of book can be found on the site but there seemed considerably more choice available in the children's section than in the adults', certainly as far as fiction goes. There are also non-fiction titles available, including autobiographies ... ...although, admittedly, there are not as many titles available as you would expect from a mainstream site, rather than a clearance booksellers. The site was easy to use with all the books available being placed under different categories. There was also a seperate search function if you were looking for a specific title or item. I spent ages browsing the site and ended up placing loads of items in my virtual basket. I was so tempted to spend over £25, ...

Bananas is the clearance website for The Bookpeople - who you may be familiar with as providing cheap books through their website and also often through a buy-on-sight scheme that visits many workplaces and schools. The Book People have been going since 1988, but the clearance website is a newer venture, set up last year I believe. ==Using the site==
The website is to be found at www.bananas.co.uk, and this is a website only shop. ... ...with pictures of monkeys and bananas everywhere, but it is easy to navigate through the categories of Fiction, Non-fiction and Children's. You can see the books on offer in the various categories and the price reduction. The home page also lists "fastest movers" and "best reductions" - some of the books are reduced by as much as 92 percent of the rrp.
