Truly awful company - and on the border of legality.
The ordering process was fine - but this is one company who loses interest in customer service as soon as you part with your money.

Ok they were the cheapest for said product but wow, I believe the company to be so badly run its painful. I ordered one thursday night/friday morning and for a £20 fee saturday delivery was an option I took. Of course this never happened and when I phoned in the stated office hours it connected to an answer machine telling me they were closed. So I googled reports such as the one im writing and found all manner of angry customers some saying they ... ...worried. I phoned up monday and got through to a very nice but sounded rather scarily like alice from the vicar of dibley. She told me she was unsure what had happened but it would definately arrive tuesday. Tuesday came and went.... nothing. I rang tuesday evening and she said something about they couldnt do a security check on me as I have no landline number (for a laptop I paid outright for on my debit card) but it would definately be to me wednesday. ...

Autumn of 2008, I phoned up to order a laptop from this seller. They tried charging me £15-20 more than what they had charged my friend just days/weeks beforehand. After they agreed to charge me the same amount of money as my friend, I asked them to set up RAID 1 for the laptop, which they said they could do but they would charge me extra because it would involve opening up the packaging etc. I agreed to pay this extra charge as long as they carry ... ...was very disappointed to say the least that although I had paid extra this seller had not performed the customisation. After literally hours of waiting in the 0870 telephone queue, and countless discussions, they said they would collect the item. From the start I had argued that I was mis-sold this item/service, and demanded a full refund. But as you can imagine, I never got the full amount. They charged me for the collection etc and I ended up £100 ...

Bought a netbook from them and can honestly day since that day have regretted ever coming across this company also known as BUYITDIRECT.COM. Called to place order, they took my money saying item was in stock, paid for next day delivery, waited 3 days nothing, phoned up to be told was not in stock and i need to wait 3 weeks! Cancelled order, took them 10 days to refund, then a laptop was delivered to my house after 4 weeks with no invoice or idea ...

Really really bad customer service and poor delivery!
I paid for next day delivery and had repeated calls to be told it was dispatched but 2 days later I still did not have a laptop I paid for.
The online tracker said "Your order has been dispatched in full"
I was told by sales it was being sent parcelforce, and then some one would email them and get back to me... NO call back!
OK Friday when I got through on the 10p per min helpline that's a ... ...told by Lee my laptop had not been dispatched at all, and it would be put on a sat Fedex and I would get a refund on the delivery. Sat 1pm and nothing so I rang them up to be told it was shipped tuesday and they could not contact the courier, I said I was told by Lee it had not been shipped and would be on a fedex, ALL she kept saying was the courier is not open I cant check, when I said but your not listening to me I was told it had not been shipped ...

Laptops Direct are appalling. I phoned Customer Services 14 times and 14 times was told someone would phone me back. Still waiting. I eventually had to go and see them at the pick up point and refused to leave until they gave me a replacement. They don't know the meaning of the words Customer Service and I am amazed they are still trading. ...
