I would be very wary of using this company! do so at your own peril.
Atrocious service, false promises made which have cost me a loss of earnings.
Their staff promise anything to get you off the phone but the promises never materialise. There is no ownership of customer issues and they simply don't care!
I placed my order over a week ago after their website claimed it had my choice of laptop in stock (70 Units). I called on tuesday to be informed ... ...be delivered without fail by friday. Beware of advertised stock levels... Im sure this much breach trading and advertising standards?

AVOID LAPTOPS DIRECT !
Attractive prices & fast delivery can usually be matched elsewhere & don’t make up for awful tech help & aftersales if anything goes wrong.
It took weeks to get a reluctant refund on a faulty Compaq 610 provided with no reinstallation disks & I am still waiting 3 weeks later for a refund on the extra care package I bought with it.
Their 24/7 support was not answering over an entire weekend & when I did eventually get through ... ...help.
Their “Customer Services” do not return calls ,will not let you speak to a manager & do not even acknowledge emails ! (just come off phone to them now after 3 days of repeated unanswered emails & calls & sent them another email today telling them I would be posting feedback online to warn other potential customers.
It will be interesting to see if they care at all about their reputation. My experience so far clearly suggests that as long ...

Advantages: may not that expensive Disadvantages: cheap plastic frame and the battery does not last more than 1 hour

I was on laptops direct website in the process of purchasing a laptop, but had a problem with the promotional code I was using. So I called laptop direct and a sales person answered.
I explained the problem I was facing when adding the promotional code, I was getting the following message (Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006').
He was asking me something, I could not understand as his voice ... ...10.15 that he was mumbling and hasn’t woken up properly.
So I assumed he was asking a different question and so I was giving him an answer based on his question.
He asked me twice, and I still didn’t understand properly and I gave him an answer on what I thought he was asking. Then the third time, he said “I'm not going to ask this question again, what error you are seeing”. At that point I was really annoyed at his response and put the phone down.

Ordered a laptop via express delivery but the item did not arrive on time. Complete shambles. Would NEVER use again and would NEVER recommend. Furthermore, SHOCKING customer service. When I rang to confirm that it had been sent out the operator said it would arrive by the end of the day but it failed to show.
