Parcel2Go.com are a big gamble. When things go OK for you, you've delivered your parcel to your customer on time and at a very competitive price. When it goes wrong, it goes very wrong and the very factor that exacerbates the whole experience is the reason they can keep their costs low - poor customer service. Bear this in mind when you book. Any other involvement with them other than booking your collection is most likely going to cause you much hair-tearing and stress.

Parcel2Go .com use DHL for all their collections and delivery so the main criticism specifically of them has to be the service they offer over and above the actual transportation of your item. This service amounts to absolutely nothing. With Parcel2Go you get a cut price shipping service because they cut non-essentials from their business to help keep costs low. Non-essentials like well-informed, well-trained, concientious, reliable, understanding and patient customer service staff. They cut things like operational phone queing systems. They cut things like replying to e-mails. They save phone costs by not calling you back or passing on vital information to DHL delivery drivers regarding your parcel. They cut costs by not actually collecting your parcel OR delivering it and then refusing to refund your payment because of some tedious excuse that basically shows that the company has not one iota of customer care within it's 4 walls.

My history with them to date has been 4 successful collections (with 2 of those being collected (or attempted) the day AFTER the date given to me on their website when I booked - beware of this. You may not get a collection on the day you booked. Or at all!). The problem collection came on the 21st April. I have had 6 failed collections from them for a parcel booked for collection on that day and no real reason for the failures. Rebookings promised by one customer service girl have been found to be missing from my order. Providing them with contact numbers appears to be a pointless exercise as they either call the wrong number or don't call at all - even to let you know the parcel hasn't been picked up.

I have come to the conclusion that using Parcel2Go is a bit like playing Russian Roulette, without the fun. i'm new by the way - hi :o)
