Parcel2go.com is a gamble. They offer very good rates and on my one and only experience of using them managed to pick up the package from my office on the day agreed.
I was sending an old Amstrad i had sold on ebay, and had taken care to pack it very carefully - a purpose-purchased plastic box, a roll of bubble wrap and lots of parcel tape. The chap who collected it (in his DHL van) was pleasant enough and even commented that it was a well-wrapped package.
Perhaps it was him that carelessly dropped it from somewhere high onto something hard. It was returned to my office with no explanation 2 days later, in a dirty great DHL box. The computer and its games are in fragments and the box still sits under my desk in the vain hope that one day I'll get round to properly sorting the matter out.
I started with a friendly note to their claims email address saying DHL (who I assumed they'd contracted the delivery out to) had bust what I was sending and could I have a refund for delivery and compensation for what I was selling. They sent me an automated response with a link to a form I could print off, fill in with the exact same details, and return to them by post.
Since then I've heard nothing. If you call them they say they can't deal with complaints, if you email them they send the same automated response, and Postwatch say they don't cover the company in their remit.
I'm supposed to report the matter to the trading standards office but I still haven't bothered. In the meantime i suffer from / enjoy violent dreams where I send the MD of Parcel2go.com a badly packed basket of dog turds that splits open all over his desk and head.
