I used to sell refurbished Laserjet 4 and 5 printers on Ebay and used Parcel2go all the time. The printers weighed 16kg and I sent one by Royal Mail once and it cost £25.

With Parcel2Go, the same parcel only costs around £8.99 so which one would you use ?

Because I was doing this business part time, I used to place the order online at parcel2go.com that evening, pack it up and label it ready to go and then the next morning take it to the nearest DHL depot to me (Loughborough in Leicestershire at the time). I'd get there at about 8am but the depot would not take the parcel until they had a confirmation from Parcel2go for the goods. Normally however, this would arrive whilst I was in the office and if not, I would just phone their office and they would fax it through straight away.

There seems to be some confusion over who Parcel2go are. I think they are an independant company (nothing to do with DHL) who have a DHL account and resell DHL services via their own website. This is why DHL come and pickup the goods when you have ordered and it is the delivery by DHL that causes late delivery and damage to items that are not packed well.

Whichever courier you use, you have to remember that these items will be treated roughly and knocked around so you have to pack them for the worse case.

I used to pack my laser printers in a box that was a few inches larger in each dimension, wrap the printer in bubble wrap and fill the inside with loose fill material. Even then there was one delivery that was damaged and drove to London to replace it myself on a Sunday but this was a single incident in sending some 40 items of this type.

I have no affiliation with Parcel2go but was happy with the service they provided for easy booking of delivery. I also tried to setup an account directly with DHL but wasnt able to get close to the price provided by Parcel2go.

Just felt the reviews here were a little biased but dont acknowledge that it is actually DHL that are delivering your parcels, parcel2go is just acting as a booking service.
