If you try their US address service, which provides a mail forwarding service, beware. Many suppliers in the US send items through the mail without covering invoices. You need this in order to import the items into the UK. In addition, make sure the items are bound/bundled before asking for the delivery. Do not change your Parcel2Go order ever. I went to a web page to pay for the delivery and added the bubble wrap option to protect my items during shipping. Guess what I received to date - a roll of bubble wrap! Of the items I ordered, I have yet to receive news.
When you call, make sure it is in the week. They do not work on Saturdays. Do not complain, be very very nice - remember .. Parcel2Go holds your property and they are in control. The only way to get what you want is to be extremely patient, explain things like you would to a child, use simple language and agree with their terms. The fact that the call centre is in the UK does not mean it cannot be staffed by idiots wielding blunt interpersonal skills.
Looking back I should have been wiser: The automated emails with the spelling mistakes should have started alarm bells ringing. The emails without subject lines should have been a dead give-away. The people who picked up the phone who seemed to misunderstand plain English- was I naive to assume them to be newcomers from Eastern Europe who deserve a chance? Then there was the web page that generated an error after I entered my credit card number and pressed the pay button... Oh dear. I now also receive spam email of other, wonderful offerings by the same company.
There is some consolation. You can get a refund from most major internet companies if the item remains undelivered past a certain date. Try your luck and also ask for a refund from Parcel2Go, it is not impossible, only very hard. Emails are important if you intend to take legal action later, but a phone call probably is your best option.
