" If, indeed, Internet has to offer much to which knows what it seeks,
the same Internet is quite as able to supplement the degradation of
those and those which navigate there without compass. " Laurent
Laplante " Being unaware of by abuse information " (French quotation).

With the permanent danger, underlined in this quotation, which cunningly watches for the ingenuous Net surfer who would have ventured without guide in this labyrinth of information, certain people were put in
search to draw up a precise card of this new world.

Indeed, in a few years only, Internet became a planetary space of
information, whose borders are increasingly pushed back towards the
infinite one. Internet, is neither more nor less than one vast maze
of sites, and, consequently to find what one seeks, without any
assistance, without any guide, concerns the Utopia. Fortunately,
after having explored and having included/understood this new world,
the Christophe Colomb of the Web touched ground, and were devoted to
the realization of a great project which was going to open the gates
of Internet to us.

This key, fruit of long reflexion and working hours, exists from now
on and bears the name enthusiaste of Yahoo!

In a few words, Yahoo is a directory which facilitates our search on Internet, enabling us to find in some clics information or the desired site. It is probably the starting point of any initial Net surfer, but also an invaluable help for the informed Net surfers who seek precise information. True catalogue of sites, Yahoo gives us access instantaneously to all the richnesses of the Web.

The instructions of this site are diverting of simplicity, and allow 2
types of search: on the one hand the search that one could describe
as " direct ", and who addresses oneself to the one or the ones that
knows exactly what they want. This operation requires the use of the
tool of keyword search. For example, the person who would wish to
have information on Heineken (why not!) has to only type, within the framework reserved for this effect, the word Heineken. In a few seconds, Yahoo thus makes an inventory of all the sites or articles which contain
this word, and proposes a precise and thematic list which deals with
this subject. In addition, " adventurous " search relates to those
which have only one vague idea of what they seek. To help them, they
have the double possibility of using either the preceding tool, or to
be useful itself of search by topic, which could be connected with a
genealogical search.

In all the cases, the tools placed at the disposal are diverting of
simplicity. In other words, I believe that Yahoo is a digest of all
the techniques and the forms of information which one has the right to
wait on behalf of a directory of search. Its assets are its
simplicity of use, its speed and especially its precision in search,
with a classification by topics.

The second principal asset of this site are the varied and practical
options available. For example, all the last news of the topicality
is immediately available on this site, thanks to a close and effective
collaboration with other great sites devoted to information. But Yahoo proposes also, and in bulk, of the plays, the possibility of making biddings, of putting a small advertisement on line, of sending malls, etc... In short, this site is remarkable by its richness and the quality of the options which it proposes... without forgetting that all this remains completely free.

Thus, simplicity, the quality of search, and the practical character
of this site make of it in my eyes the essential tool for surfer
effectively and quickly on the Net.
