One man’s quest of revealing the terrible sins of ciao members, has lead me to confess that I have sinned and I am guilty as hell. But this is not about ordinary sins like murder or bank robbery. (These are so common now a day that even kids mention them as they were referring to the new edition of Archie’s comics). This is something more hideous called as “Guilty Pleasures” a topic suggested by a Ciao member Piagetclot (The cute little one year boy with a thingee on his head).
Yes I have been using Paid to surf companies, the ones that pay you few cents per hour to watch ads or read e mails, 75% of which never pay and the rest pay you after months of insane surfing (Yeah, Yeah,…shoot me). Most of the time never expecting them to pay how I found pleasure in using them and checking my account to see the pennies accumulating, and when somebody would pop in and ask Is this one of those PTS bars? And I would say, “Actually I am using this for it’s excellent search facility, and the other one…….. has very useful links to sites and the third one is err…,actually,…umm……..It’s cool, very cool.
Ok those days are gone but there are still some skeletons in my cupboard and my sinful journey continues as I use an e mail account that pays. Most of you must have heard of this site. It’s called Zwallet.com
WHAT IS ZWALLET.COM
It’s a US site that provides free web based e-mail account with all the standard features and claims to pay you for using their services. Last year it was only for the US members but this year they have extended their services to UK residents and most of the European countries.
FEATURES
The inbox has all the standard facilities with 2 MB of space, simple lay out with easy to use features like
ADDRESS BOOK In the address book you can save all the email addresses of your friends and family with their names and addresses and any other information like birthdays, anniversary etc.
COMPOSE With facility of attaching files to your out going mail. You can save the sent mails. You can create your own signature and add it to your mails.
FILTERS You can set filters according to your preferences that how and in which folder you receive mail. There are ten ways of setting filters like by name of the senders, by content or how the message starts etc.
BLOCK SENDERS The Spam mail you don’t want to receive in your inbox can be blocked.
PREFERENCES
You can set your preferences that how you receive the mail like certain messages per page or according to the name, message or header.
FOLDERS Standard folders like inbox, Trash and sent mail folder where your sent mail is saved. Apart from that you can create your own folders as you wish.
FREE DRIVE They also provide you with a 50mb free space on line to store your files just like X drive which you can use from any where when you are online and you can also share these files with your friends which are given the access to the drive. This is a very useful facility.
REFERRAL CENTRE As they pay you for your referrals as well they provide with emails, banners and even flyers, which you can print out to help you for referring others.
REWARDS They claim to pay you 40% of their revenue for using their service as you see ads on every page; the current limit is 10000 pages. They also pay for 4 levels of referrals . Pay you for reading emails with special offers and you do get one or two mails every other day.
SPAM MAIL This is the best part. It’s totally Spam free. I have never received even a single Spam mail so far.
OVERALL Overall it is a very useful service with all the standard features, no Spam mail what so ever. They pay you for using their service but don’t rely on this one as the commission is very low, literally in cents (I’ll probably get a heart attack if I ever get paid). The site is easy to navigate and loads quickly most of the time, some times you may have problems but not for long. The only draw back I have noticed so far is that some times you don’t receive the mail in your inbox immediately. For eg if you are making a transaction or signing up with a website and they send you a confirmation mail it may take some time to appear in your in box, unlike hotmail where you immediately receive the mail. Over all the service is pretty good.
If you decide to open an account with them Don’t use my ref id, as I don’t want to be remembered in the history as a person who persuaded other people to join him in his sinful journey.
Finally my sympathies for the following Ciao members, caught in their own web of desires confessing their dreadful sins. English patient, Squiggles, Stravaig, Brianlfc, Clanmac4, Whitewitch, Cherryfalls and (Yours truly) Salman.
